How to use the PDF Toolkit

  1. Drop one or more PDFs, or photos and scans in JPG, PNG or WebP. Every page appears as a thumbnail.
  2. Drag pages into the order you want. Click pages to select them, then rotate, duplicate, move or delete them. Add blank pages where you need them.
  3. Optionally add page numbers or a watermark, or make the file smaller.
  4. Choose the output: one merged PDF, several PDFs split by ranges, images of every page, or the text as a Word, Excel or text file.
  5. Click Download. The new file is made in your browser, so even confidential documents never leave your computer.

One page grid instead of separate tools

Most PDF sites make you merge in one tool, rotate in another and number pages in a third, uploading the file each time. Here every PDF and image you add lands in one grid of pages. Arrange it once, choose the extras you want, and download the result as one file, several files, images or editable text, in a single step.

What stays the same

With Keep quality, pages are copied exactly: text stays selectable and searchable, fonts, links and form fields on the page are preserved, and nothing is re-compressed. Only the Smaller and Smallest options turn pages into images.

Frequently asked questions 8

How do I merge PDF files?

Drop all the PDFs at once (or add them one after another). Their pages appear in a single grid, each file with its own colour and letter. Drag pages or whole groups into order, choose One PDF and click Download.

How do I split a PDF or extract pages?

Choose Several PDFs and pick how to split: by ranges such as 1-3, 4-10, 11- (one file per range), every N pages, every page on its own, or back into the original files. To pull out a few pages, select them and click Extract.

Can I turn photos or scans into a PDF?

Yes. Drop JPG, PNG, WebP or other images and they become pages, fitted onto A4 or Letter with a margin (or at their own size). Mix them freely with PDF pages and reorder everything before saving.

How much smaller can a PDF get?

Keep quality copies pages as they are and packs the file tightly, which helps a little. Smaller and Smallest re-make every page as a 150 or 100 dpi image: scanned documents and photo-heavy files often shrink by 50 to 90 percent, but text can no longer be selected, so keep the original for editing.

Will page numbers be upright on rotated pages?

Yes. Numbers and watermarks are placed on the page as you see it, so a landscape page that was rotated still gets its number at the bottom, reading the right way.

How good is the PDF to Word and Excel conversion?

For PDFs that contain real text (made from Word, web pages or reports), lines are joined into paragraphs, larger text becomes headings, and hyphenated line breaks are repaired. For Excel, text that lines up in columns becomes cells, one sheet per page, with numbers stored as numbers. Scanned pages are pictures and have no text to extract.

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

If you know the password, type it when asked and the pages can be reordered, merged or converted. Because the file stays encrypted inside, those pages are copied as high-resolution images. Files that only restrict copying or printing are handled the same way.

Is there a size or page limit?

No fixed limit. Everything runs on your computer, so very large files depend on its memory; a few hundred pages are fine on most laptops.
