QR Code Generator
Make a QR code for a link, Wi-Fi network, contact card and more. Style it, check that it scans, and download a print-ready file. Static codes that never expire.
Runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

3. Center logo and caption
Put your own image or one to three letters in the middle of the code. The tool raises error correction to High so it still scans.

How to use the QR Code Generator
- Choose what the code should hold: a link, text, Wi-Fi login, contact card, email, SMS, phone number, map location or calendar event.
- Fill in the details. The preview updates as you type, and the tool checks that the code actually scans.
- Style it: dot and corner shapes, colors or a gradient, a logo in the middle and an optional caption such as "Scan for the menu".
- Download as PNG or JPG for screens, SVG for design work, or a vector PDF at the exact printed size. You can also copy the image straight to the clipboard.
- Need many codes? Switch to Batch, paste a list from a spreadsheet and get them all as a ZIP or one PDF.
What makes a QR code scan reliably
Three things matter most: contrast, the quiet zone and size. Keep the code dark on a light background with a contrast of about 4:1 or more. Leave an empty margin, called the quiet zone, around the code; the standard asks for 4 modules, and the tool lets you go lower when space is tight but warns below 2. Finally, print it large enough for the distance it will be scanned from.
Error correction levels
QR codes carry extra data so they can still be read when part of the pattern is dirty, damaged or covered. Level L recovers about 7%, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. Higher levels make the pattern denser, so use M for plain codes and H when you add a logo or print on rough surfaces.
Frequently asked questions 8
Do these QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the content is stored in the pattern itself, so they keep working forever and do not depend on this website or any redirect service.
Is it really free with no sign-up?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. Signing in with Google is optional and only keeps a history of what you created.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Codes are generated in your browser. Your text, logo and Wi-Fi password never leave your device, and Wi-Fi passwords are never written to your history.
Which format should I use for printing?
Use PDF or SVG. Both are vector formats, so edges stay perfectly sharp at any size. The PDF is created at the exact physical width you choose, which makes it easy to send to a printer.
How big should a printed QR code be?
A common rule is that the code should be at least one tenth of the scanning distance. For a phone held close, 2 cm (0.8 in) is a practical minimum; on a poster read from 2 m away, aim for about 20 cm.
Will a logo stop the code from scanning?
A logo covers part of the pattern, so the tool switches to the highest error correction level (H), which can recover about 30% damage, and keeps the logo to at most 30% of the width. It then reads the code back to confirm it still scans.
Why does the tool warn about contrast?
Scanners look for dark modules on a light background. Light-on-dark codes and low-contrast color pairs fail on many phones, so the tool flags them before you print.
Can I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Yes. Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and guests can join by pointing their camera at the code. It works on iPhone and Android camera apps.
